What a day to start the new 2012. 

I was nervous last night, thinking about the single-engine out I did on the simulator. Which is pretty lousy, not even maintaining my directional control. Then I think of all the people that support me, who have confidence in me. There's a saying that : believe in oneselve before making belief to someone else. 

I was holding this kind of complex emotion, my eyelid was half open and half close due to the tiredness of the drinking contest of our year end party. I felt asleep without concious. 

 

Then I heard my phone ring. It was 6 in the morning. I dare not read the message that pop out. But I coudn't coz iphone automatically show the msg receieved. It was from 長榮. It was the congratulation letter. And it was the ticket I'm long for. 

 

I woke up and searched for my mom. Apparently she left for work. Then I jumped into my dad's room. Shouting that I passed. He was half sleep. He's happiness is alwasy this cool. He tapped my back saying good job. And I knew I relif some of his worries about me. Then he called my brother, and Mom. 

 

And I, went out jogging. 

 

One story has ended. Another has started. It's not an American dream. It's simply a dream with coincidence/ a lot of money involved/ and the people that I met. 

 

It was Tuesday. My belated checkride which I thought I could have it on Oct already. My diamond star has some airworthiness problem. There's a part must be changed in order to fly. The part must be ordered from Canada. My heart shaked.

Mike Howard. My teacher and my Dad in the US. He said: We will make this happen. 

He called the carrier. Tracking the products. Using his connection with the checkman and tried to fit me in the process. On 11:00 am. One day air-delivery from Canada. Though one hour late from the scheduled arrival time. We still have 1 hour left before the final take-off time. 

However, the part we ordered was wrong.

It should be a wire that could replaced the crooked old one. But it didn't fit. But this kind of special day shouldn't be ended like this. Mike and I wouldn't give it. We upside down the old one and temporarily fix the problem. We took off at 12:05am. Right from the maintenance hanger. 

 

Here comes another trouble: I found there's no POH in the airplane after I landed on KCPU. WTF. 

Mike told me not to worry and encourage me just go in for the oral test. I wasn't realize that when I stepping out from the office. It was Louis welcomed me with the POH all the way from KLVK. 

What a buddy! 

Two air delivery in one day. Especially this one. 

I am lucky to know all these nice people in my training period. That I shall continue walking on this path.

On the way back to KLVK. I turned the auto pilot on. First time in a long while that I could sit back simply enjoying the view and did nothing at all. It was around 5pm. The sun was already close to the horizen. 4 hours later I will be in the airplane to go back to Taipei. My primary training was about to end. Less than 36 hours later I will be in the interview office being judged by those examiner. 

 

All in all, what a day to end 2011 by flying an one-engine-out boeing 747. And what a day to start the first Monday of 2012. 

 

I woudln't waste my talent. It is me who grab my own luck.
